The musical sensation of the moment on Broadway "WICKED" :

Wicked is an American musical by Stephen Schwarz (lyrics and music) and Winnie Holzman (libretto), first performed 30 October 2003 at Broadway’s George Gershwin Theatre.

Story :

The Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba, is born with the green skin and magical powers of her evil mother. Rejected by everyone, even her father, the govenor, she bravely puts up with the humiliation, and dreams of a cure which she hopes to get from the Wizard of Oz. Her room-mate at university is the beautiful and ambitious Glinda Upland. Their friendship is put to the test when Fiyero Tiggular, a Prince Charming, shows up.

The girls travel to the capital of Oz, where they discover that the Magician is actually an imposter with no magical powers at all.

Glinda choses to help cover up the lie, but Elphaba and the Prince decide that the truth must come out!
